What is your approach to coaching?

My approach aligns with the Association for Coaching’s definition of executive coaching: “A collaborative solution-focused, results-orientated and systematic process in which the coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, life experience, self-directed learning and personal growth of the coachee.” The process remains firmly focused on your agenda and objectives.

How long does a typical coaching partnership last?

Most executive coaching partnerships span 6-12 months with sessions every 4-5 weeks. The exact structure is determined by your specific objectives and preferences.

Do you work with leaders in any industry?

I partner with leaders across various sectors, particularly those navigating complex, knowledge-based industries where strategic and interpersonal effectiveness are crucial to success.

How do we measure coaching outcomes?

At the beginning of our partnership, we’ll establish clear objectives and success measures based on your specific goals. These typically emerge from our initial conversations about what you want to achieve through coaching.

What is your approach to confidentiality?

Complete confidentiality forms the foundation of our coaching partnership. All discussions remain strictly confidential, with exceptions only in situations where there might be risk of harm. This creates the psychological safety needed for meaningful exploration and growth.

While clients are free to share their coaching experiences with others, I never disclose the content of our conversations. When sharing client insights or testimonials, I include only positions and sectors (with permission), withholding names to maintain confidentiality. I’m happy to sign mutual non-disclosure agreements before beginning our work together.

What experience do you bring to the coaching partnership?

With over 10,000 hours of coaching experience across multiple industries and cultures, I bring deep familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of senior leadership. However, our focus remains firmly on your agenda and objectives.

How do you work with emotional intelligence in coaching?

The coaching partnership creates space for you to explore how emotional intelligence enhances your leadership effectiveness. This exploration emerges through our conversations rather than through instruction or direction.

Who tends to get the most value from your coaching approach?

Leaders who approach our partnership with certain qualities typically experience the most significant transformation. These include openness to change, willingness to experiment, capacity for self-reflection, curiosity about different perspectives, commitment to learning, future-focus, and adaptability in their leadership style. While these qualities enhance the coaching experience, many clients develop these capacities further through our work together.
